Painting Contractor in Celebration, FL
Exterior paint colors in Celebration go through the Architectural Review Committee, with pre-approved palettes for each architectural style. Our color advice as a painting contractor in Celebration, FL, starts from those palettes.
Do you need ARC approval to repaint a house in Celebration?
Yes, unless you’re repainting no more than 10% of the house in the same color. The Celebration design guidelines page says Architectural Review Committee approval is required for exterior changes, and the committee’s exterior painting guideline sets out the rest:
- Painting up to 10% of the home in the same color counts as maintenance. More than that needs a Same Paint Application.
- Each architectural style has pre-approved palettes. A color outside them needs an application, a sample and manufacturer color chips, and goes to the monthly ARC meeting.
- A color similar to a neighbor’s within two houses isn’t allowed, unless the body of the house is white.
- Bungalow homes on Croton and Downey Place may not change colors.
Applications go to Town Hall at 851 Celebration Avenue (407-566-1200) or by email. Bring your approval, or the palette you’re choosing from, to the estimate, and we’ll price the job to it.
The guideline quoted here is the version effective November 16, 2016, and the ARC can tell you whether anything in it has changed.

Can a Celebration driveway be painted or epoxied?
No. The same guideline says driveways, sidewalks and lead walks may not be painted, stained or epoxied, and must keep a natural concrete finish. Leave them off your list when you ask for an estimate here, and we’ll keep the price to the house itself.
Which Celebration style is your house?
The painting guideline groups single-family homes by lot type: Bungalow, Garden, Cottage, Village, Manor and Estate, with separate rules for town homes, duplexes and triplexes, condominiums and commercial buildings. Its style list covers Classical, Coastal, Colonial Revival, Craftsman, French, Greek Revival, Mediterranean, St. Augustine and Victorian homes, and the community was designed with a pattern book by Urban Design Associates, according to Wikipedia.
Celebration was established in 1994, and its first homes were occupied in the summer of 1996. Only 0.9% of homes here were built before 1980, and the median home dates from 2004, according to the US Census ACS 2020-2024 5-year estimates.
Condominium and town home associations can read our HOA and condominium painting page, and owners of the commercial lots can start with commercial painting. Wikipedia’s Kissimmee article counts Celebration among the communities in the wider Kissimmee area, and our Kissimmee painting page covers the city itself.
