Exterior Painting in Orlando, FL
Exterior painting for Orlando homes, with the prep done first. Before any paint goes on, our painters pressure clean, make minor repairs, patch and caulk, and cover your plants, walkways and windows.
How does Central Florida weather affect exterior paint?
Start with the rain. The National Weather Service climate report for Orlando puts the city’s average at 51.45 inches a year, and most of it falls from June to September.
UF/IFAS Extension warns that heavy seasonal rains force water into any defect in a building, and that algae and mildew thrive in these conditions. Their guide for Florida homes says painted walls shouldn’t show mildew, cracks or blisters. If you see any of those on your house, point them out when we come for the estimate.
The sun matters too. The EPA’s UV Index guide says UV levels peak from April to August, and the Florida sun is strong.
How much prep goes into an exterior repaint?
On an exterior job, the pressure washer comes out before the paint does. We pressure clean all the surfaces we’re going to paint, so dirt, mildew and chalky old paint aren’t sitting between the new coat and the wall.
Minor repairs come next, then patching and caulking along cracks and joints, the same openings UF/IFAS says rain finds its way into. Before we open the paint, we cover your plants and walkways and protect your windows and sliding doors.
Some houses need more than minor repairs:
- Rotted trim is a job for carpentry and wood restoration.
- Damaged boards along the roof edge are handled through soffit and fascia replacement.
- If the house only needs a cleaning, you can book pressure washing on its own.
When should I schedule exterior painting?
Fresh exterior paint needs dry surfaces. Orlando’s rainiest stretch runs through the summer, and the Atlantic hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30, with a peak around September 10.
As a rule of thumb, that makes the drier months the easier window for an exterior job. If you have a particular month in mind, ask about scheduling when you call or text (407) 450-2020.
What happens at the free estimate visit?
We walk around the house with you, look at the walls, trim and doors, and talk through the scope and your colors. If your community has an HOA, check its rules on exterior colors before you settle on one. If the house sits in one of Orlando’s historic districts, ask the city’s historic preservation office about paint first. For ideas, our blog has a post on exterior colors for Orlando homes.
Then you get a free, detailed written estimate. Pricing is fair and there are no surprise fees. The finished work is backed by our 2-year warranty.
If the garage door or the deck needs attention too, ask about garage door painting and deck and wood staining at the same visit. Exterior jobs take our crew across the Orlando area, and our service areas page names each city we work in.

How do you protect my plants and windows?
We cover your plants and walkways and protect windows and sliding doors before we start painting. We also clean up at the end of every work day.
When is the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Central Florida?
